Margin Optimizer turns your Shopify data into cost-aware price recommendations. It syncs your products, costs, inventory, and order history, then tells you — SKU by SKU — where price is leaving margin on the table. The journey is simple: Measure → find Opportunities → Launch a price change → Track.
On install and every night, Margin Optimizer imports your products, variants, inventory, prices, unit costs, and order history. That sync is what powers every price recommendation, margin estimate, confidence score, and opportunity ranking. You do not need to trigger it manually.
Visit the Margin Audit to see every tracked variant with its current price, unit cost, and estimated margin (after cost of goods). This is your baseline — where your catalog stands before any changes.
Go to Opportunities to see recommendations ranked by estimated margin lift. Each item shows the current price, a recommended price, the expected margin lift, a confidence and risk read, and the plain-language factors behind it. You can Approve a recommendation, Customize the target price, or Exclude items that aren't a priority right now.
Every recommendation is validated against the pricing rules and guardrails you set — minimum margin, maximum increase/decrease, confidence threshold, and any SKU, collection, vendor, or MAP exclusions. Excluded and protected SKUs stay out of the queue automatically.
Approve an opportunity to Launch the new price, Schedule it for later, or run an A/B test. Nothing reprices automatically — every launch is confirmed by you, takes a snapshot of the previous price, and can be rolled back in one click. Then Track the result: margin lift and attributable uplift on the SKUs you changed.
When you uninstall, personal data is removed immediately. Non-PII operational data is kept only until the end of the current billing period so you can restore paid-for settings if you reinstall.
If you reinstall during that window, you can restore your previous settings or start fresh and permanently delete the preserved data. That gives you a self-serve path for both restoring and deleting your data without needing support.
- Estimated margin lift — the app’s cost-of-goods-based estimate of the extra margin (price − unit cost) you’d gain by moving a SKU to its recommended price. It is not a full net-margin figure — it does not include fees, discounts, or shipping.
- Confidence — how strong the evidence behind a recommendation is, based on data quality and volume. Higher confidence means a clearer case for the change.
- Risk — a read on how much a price move could affect demand for that SKU, so you can weigh margin lift against conversion.
- Elasticity — how sensitive a SKU’s demand is to price, estimated from its order history; it drives whether the recommendation is to raise or lower price.
- Attributable uplift (price uplift) — the extra revenue above the old price on SKUs you’ve launched a change on, within 90 days of launch; the basis for the Performance fee.
